Formerly incarcerated Boosie BadAzz and currently incarcerated C-Murder are teaming up to drop a joint album called Penitentiary Chances. In an interview with AllHipHop, Vs, who is signed to C-Murder's TRU-Bossalinie Records, broke the news of the project. "In a few months, we're about to drop this joint with [C-Murder] and Boosie," he said. "That's just them two linking up on an album, doing something they always wanted to do, but never got a chance to do. By them both being incarcerated, they had time to put their heads together and come up with a project."

The report states that the album will drop on April 15 and that T-Rhythm and Moneybeats provided most of the production.

On Jan. 19, 2002, the former No Limit Records artist was arrested for shooting 16-year-old Steve Thomas at Platinum Club located in Harvey, Louisiana. Thomas later died of his gunshot wounds. The rapper was sentenced to life in prison in 2009 and is currently serving his term in the Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola, Louisiana. The MC recently dropped "2 Stainz," a diss aimed at 2 Chainz.

Boosie served five years at the Louisiana State Penitentiary for drug charges and probation violations. Based on Vs' quote, it seems like the two rappers crossed paths while in Angola and developed the idea for the album.

C-Murder confirmed the project via Instagram and Twitter:
