Cardi B, Migos and Post Malone Hits Get Turned Into Holiday Songs on ‘The Tonight Show’
At the top of 2018, Migos hit up The Tonight Show to perform their song "Stir Fry." Now, Jimmy Fallon is serving up his own version of the record and other bangers from Cardi B, Post Malone and more for the holiday season.
On Monday (Dec. 17), Fallon called on his friend actor-playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda to help him perform a medley of chart-topping songs that were flipped into bangers about Christmas. The show host and the Hamilton creator rapped their holiday bars to the tune of Migos' Culture II hit.
"In the kitchen sip-sippin' on some eggnog, In the kitchen sip-sippin' on some eggnog," Miranda and Fallon rapped in unison to the tune of "Stir Fry."
After mocking a few pop songs, the duo transition into Post Malone's "Better Now" with bars about the ugliest of ugly sweaters, which came from his grandma.
"My grandma gave me a new sweater now, sweater now," Miranda raps. "Looks like she got it from the Lost & Found, Lost & Found." Fallon picks it up and responds with "It is a turtleneck that is green and brown, green and brown/Could've got me anything, but you got me this old thing."
Following their bars about dreidels and an Amazon shopping fiasco, Miranda and Fallon close out with a wild rendition of Cardi B's "I Like It" featuring Bad Bunny and J. Balvin.
"I like giving. I like shopping. I like stuffing all my stockings," Miranda raps with Bardi's flow. "I like singing Christmas carols. Where's the door? Bitch I'm knocking," chimes in Fallon before the duo runs into the studio audience for a snowy conclusion.
