CAVA Opening First Lafayette, Louisiana Location

Lafayette, Louisiana, is finally getting one of their restaurant wishes granted. According to Developing Lafayette, CAVA will be expanding to the Lafayette area soon.

They currently have a total of 6 Louisiana locations across Baton Rouge and the New Orleans area, but the Lafayette community will be ecstatic to have one much closer to home.

What is CAVA?

Imagine if Chipotle was Mediterranean.

If you love Mediterranean food and enjoy going to places like Chipotle, where you can build your own bowl, this will be heaven on earth.

CAVA prides itself on offering bold Mediterranean flavors through delicious, clean ingredients. Choose from a variety of healthy options, like their high-protein Chicken and Right Rice bowl or a spicy chicken and avocado pita. Whether you want a salad, grain bowl, or pita wrap, you will have endless options and combinations at CAVA. They even have vegan options which Lafayette currently lacks.

CAVA + Popeyes

I'd be lying if I said I didn't chuckle when I saw who CAVA's neighbor is going to be. According to Developing Lafayette, Popeyes will occupy one of the two commercial spaces in front of Academy Sporting Goods and At Home Store at 4220 Ambassador Caffery. Between these two restaurants, you will easily be able to feed everyone in your family; even your pickiest eater won't be complaining.

As far as when CAVA and this new Popeye's will be opening, we are still waiting on those details. It appears like they just started to break ground on the lot, so hopefully, they continue to progress so we can have an opening date sometime this year.
