As more and more coronavirus vaccines are being distributed around the world, a little glimmer of hope is returning for those of us who are anxiously awaiting a return to "normal". But, in some cases, information has been sketchy about who, where, and when these vaccines are available. Even if you are the most internet-savvy person on Earth, it can still be confusing.

But making things easier this week, there is a new COVID-19 vaccination call center that has just opened in Acadiana. According to KLFY, Dr. Britni Hebert has made it easier for citizens in Acadiana who might not have access to the internet to find a place to get their COVID vaccine. Dr. Hebert has designed the call center to help facilitate the number of vaccines distributed in the area, especially now that we have three different options for getting vaccinated.

Dr Hebert told KLFY “When you call, you will be connected to volunteers or voicemail system. Leave a voicemail, keep a pen and paper, we will tell you where to go and what to bring." She goes on to say how important it is to get the vaccine “It’s the most important thing that should be done right now. This is our way forward, our way back to normal. There is no other way."

Dr Hebert is also looking for volunteers to help with the call center, and if you would like to volunteer you can email: covid19vaccinefinder@gmail.com, or check out this link.

The phone number for the COVID Call Center is 337-362-0777.
