Crawfish Boss Expands with New Locations in Lafayette and Youngsville After Loss of Broussard Lease

The well-known seafood establishment, The Crawfish Boss, has officially announced the closure of its original location in Broussard, Louisiana. The Broussard outlet, located at 6830 B, Ambassador Caffery Parkway, has been a local favorite since its inception in 2015. However, a new way has been paved for an exciting expansion, with new openings in Lafayette, Youngsville, and a potential location in New Iberia.

In a recent Facebook post, The Crawfish Boss revealed that the decision to cease operations under the original namesake at the Broussard location was due to the loss of their lease.

When reached for comment, another former co-owner of The Crawfish Boss further clarified the situation regarding the original Broussard location. Following a change in ownership in March, the original site has been operating under a new name, The Boozy & Boiling Barn, since July 2023. This rebranding came after a split among the owners, with one partner taking the Crawfish Boss brand to new locations.

The original owners continue to run The Boozy & Boiling Barn, "maintaining the same management, staff, and quality of food and desserts that patrons have enjoyed over the years." This update addresses any confusion among customers who might have thought the original location was closing down.

The post from the owner who retains The Crawfish Boss name expressed both a sense of gratitude for the years spent at the Ambassador Caffery location before the split with their partners and shared excitement for the upcoming ventures. According to the announcement, Youngsville residents can soon enjoy the popular Crawfish Boss seafood offerings at a new site at 2600 E. Milton Avenue (Hwy 92), while Lafayette's crawfish enthusiasts will find a new location at the intersection of Johnston Street and Roselawn Boulevard.

The news of these expansions has been met with enthusiasm from the community. Local residents took to social media to express their excitement. Morgan Meaux Mercado commented, "Excited to have y'all on Roselawn!! Similarly, Kei Keys expressed relief at having a closer location, and Cesar Ronda eagerly awaited the Youngsville opening, praising The Crawfish Boss for their quality seafood and friendly service.

Speculation about a new outlet in New Iberia, often referred to affectionately as "The Berry," has also been circulating. Responding to a comment on their official page, The Crawfish Boss hinted at this possibility, stating they were "working on it."

Despite some disappointment over the split between the original owners at the Broussard location, the overall response to the expansion news has been overwhelmingly positive. Regular patrons are looking forward to visiting the new locations as soon as they open for the season.
