Devin White’s Father Passed Away While in Custody in Natchitoches Parish

Such sad news.

Devin White, who was a star player at LSU and is now with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, announced that his father passed away.

According to various media reports, Carlos Thomas, 45, was taken to Natchitoches Regional Medical Center after complaining about severe back pain.

Thomas suddenly became unresponsive while in the ambulance and sadly died.

The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of Thomas.

The father of the NFL player was incarcerated in Natchitoches on Oct. 14 by the U.S. Marshals Service to await trial on previous federal charges.

An autopsy will be performed on Thomas to determine the cause of death.

Devin White was aware of his father's passing prior to departing for his game last weekend in Germany and here are some of his comments in regard to playing the game.

The head coach of Tampa also had some remarks in regard to White playing, knowing that his father passed away.
