All it took for one man to fool the entire internet was a dog and one piece of deli ham.

A man by the name of Stephen Roseman posted a photo of his dog with the caption:

This poor dog was badly burned and disfigured trying to save his family from a house fire. One like = one prayer. One share = ten prayers.

Lifting up a good samaritan or recognizing heroic actions is commonplace on the internet—especially with all the negative things we seem to be bombarded with on daily basis—so when people saw this "badly burned and disfigured" pup, the natural thing to do was like and share the photo.

But anyone who gave the photo more than two seconds of attention can see that those are not "burns" on the dog's face, but instead a slice of your household deli ham.

Some people noticed the ham and had a good laugh about it. Others weren't so happy about the joke, ripping into Roseman for his insensitive trolling.

He's got a slice of ham on his face, some twat owner sis it to him, and how can it read that he's Ben in a house fire, get real people that Think this is real....it's fake, and it's disgusting that the owners are saying he's been in a house fire!!!!!!! Stupid human owners !!!!!!!

The photo has over 125,000 shares and people are still liking, sharing and commenting daily.

Poor taste or good joke?
