Plane Carrying Donald Trump Reportedly Makes Emergency Landing in Louisiana
This had to be a little scary.
A plane carrying the former U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly had to make an emergency landing Saturday evening in New Orleans after it experienced engine failure while over the Gulf of Mexico.
The private plane was taking Trump back to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla. after a private Republican Party event in New Orleans.
Well, once the plane hit an altitude of about 28,000 feet, an engine on the plane reportedly failed, thus forcing the plane to turn back around and make an emergency landing at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.
The Washington Post reports that the private jet that Trump was on had his staff and secret service agents aboard it when the engine failed over water.
According to reports, Trump's staff was able to secure another donor’s plane, which was brought to the airport in New Orleans to meet him.
The former President did make it home safely, but he did much later than he anticipated.
