Donald Trump Says Wearing A Mask Is “Patriotic” Tweets Out Photo

President Trump tweeted out a photo of himself wearing a mask along with the message that, "...many people say that it is Patriotic to wear a face mask when you can’t socially distance. There is nobody more Patriotic than me, your favorite President!".

Experts in health around the country have advised that wearing a mask is the main way that Americans can help slow the spread of COVID-19.

Governor Edwards issued a mask mandate for Louisiana on July 11th which was met with criticism from the public as well as opinions from Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry.

Today began the three day period of fasting and prayer called upon by Governor Edwards in Louisiana as positive COVID-19 cases proceed to be an issue around the state.

Whether you wear a mask to protect yourself, to protect others, or to be patriotic, I think we can all find a reason to wear a mask when out in public in hopes that COVID-19 cases in Louisiana go down so that we can all proceed with our normal lives.
