Don’t Fall For Latest COVID-19 Scam Via Text Message

Scammers will prey on folks when we are at our lowest and now is a great time for thieves to take advantage of the situation.

A new scam is making its way around these days and it comes in the form of a text message. Yes, the scammer is coming directly at you via a text message and it's alarming.

The text message alerts you that you may have come into contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19.

The same message on your phone alerts you to click on a link and that's where the scammer invades your privacy.

Again no one in authority will contact you directly and if you do get a phone call or text message from someone asking for private information, it should be a RED FLAG!
