FEMA has opened a disaster recovery center at 301 West University in Lafayette.

Anyone needed help or information about the programs that they might be eligible for can got to the center seven days a week.

The center is open from 8 o'clock in the morning until 6 o'clock at night each day.

Joel Robideaux, Lafayette City Parish Mayor/President, reminds anyone who had damage, to register with FEMA during the 60 day window to do so.

He says the center offers an opportunity for survivors to meet face to face with someone from FEMA to get the help they need to put their lives and businesses back together.

Survivors may locate other centers near them at www.fema.gov/disaster-recovery-centers or by calling the FEMA helpline at 1-800-621-3362.

Survivors may seek assistance at any disaster recovery center, including centers in other states.
