You may have lived in Louisiana your whole life and never known that milk is the state's official beverage. Well, now you do, as well as 49 other awesome things about this fabulous state!

When you think of Louisiana you probably start imagining a steaming pile of crawfish, and Mardi Gras beads flying through the air as Jazz music blasts in the background, but the truth is, there is a lot more to Louisiana than meets the eye. And I'm not just talking about the beautiful bayou's, awesome people and incredible culture.

Thanks to movoto.com I now have a much deeper appreciation for the not so well known parts of Louisiana, like the fact that there are almost half as many alligators as there are people in Louisiana. Or that “Laissez les bon temps rouler”, which means, “Let the good times roll”, is actually grammatically incorrect French. Who knew? I mean, maybe you did, but I sure didn't. Honestly, I didn't know most of the stuff on the list, but I do now and it's made me love Louisiana even more!
