The Funniest April Fools’ Day Pranks From Acadiana Businesses
Did April Fools' Day sneak up on you? Most Louisiana folks will tell you they have a love-hate relationship with the unofficial holiday.
Some April Fool's pranks get you laughing while others get you good and make you feel silly for falling for it.

Although the government and schools don't consider it a legitimate holiday, local businesses across Acadiana have started to take it very seriously.
With the help of social media, local bakeries, parks, and retail stores have become very clever with their April Fools posts.

The Funniest April Fools Day Pranks From Acadiana Businesses
Lafayette cookie baker, Caroline Merryman, knows how to tug on our heartstrings. Two things Acadiana loves: Caroline's Cookies and Crawfish. Has a nice ring to it, don't you think?
Moncus Park in Lafayette trolled locals with a parking garage tease. The number one complaint about Moncus Park is that there is not enough parking, especially when the weather is beautiful and on Saturdays for the farmer's market. It sounds like they do have plans in the works to add more space to park, "More parking is LITERALLY under construction and coming soon! (And if you happen to have a couple million to help speed up the process, we're all ears!)"
Developing Lafayette got us once again with his iconic April Fools' posts. This year, he went all out and teased a massive IKEA that would be three stories and include a Cajun-inspired food court.
The Lafayette-based TikTok viral candle company, The Candle Yard Company, is famous for its dessert-inspired candles. But a spaghetti candle? Not sold on it, however, if anyone could make a spaghetti candle smell good, it would be The Candle Yard.
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette joined in on the April Fools' fun too.
"The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is excited to announce that we are geauxing local for Lagniappe Day by sourcing crawfish from our very own Cypress Lake! Watch below for more information on how we’re going to claw back costs by diving into the crawfish farming business."
Shout out to the Coulee Monster, they were the star of the show.
