Lowe's, the home improvement giant, is celebrating Spring with a month-long "SpringFest" giving away free garden-to-go project kits through the entire month of April.

After the record cold temperatures this winter in Acadiana, Lowe's is inspiring south Louisiana to get out in the yard and grow something. It's time to get outdoors and get our lawns and gardens in shape for summer.

Register for your free garden-to-go kits at Lowes.com starting April 1. Lowe's will have events every week during April and will giveaway a different garden-to-go kit at each event. Remember you must register at their website and garden-to-go kits are while supplies last.

  • On April 8 Lowe's will give away a garden-to-go kit featuring exclusive recipes from professional cook and food stylist Amanda Frederickson.
  • On April 15 you'll receive Lowe's Mystery Garden Pinata with mystery seed packets. What a fun way to celebrate Spring gardening with your family.
  • On April 22 Lowe's will hand out 500,00 tree saplings in honor of Earth Day. While supplies last.
  • On April 29 it's Butterfly Quest. Butterfly Quest will help you create your own butterfly garden to attract the most beautiful butterflies in south Louisisana.
