Glenn Armentor Pay It Forward Food Drive

The Glenn Armentor Law Corporation's Pay It Forward Food Drive runs through September 13th.

At the beginning of the school year, low-income families and at-risk children need food, especially after spending money on school supplies. Glenn Armentor knows what hunger feels like, having been brought up in a low-income household. He knows that he and his family would have benefitted from an organization like Second Harvest Food Bank. That's why he has included them in his Pay It Forward campaign.

You can help by donating non-perishable food items to Second Harvest Food Bank. Items like rice, beans, cereal, crackers, flour, sugar, grits, shelf-stable milk, canned goods, and non-food items like diapers and paper products. You can see a list of suggestions here.

Drop-off points include the Glenn Armentor Law Corporation at 300 Stewart Street in Lafayette, any of NuNu's Fresh Market's locations, News 15 on Eraste Landry, or Townsquare Media on Bertrand  Drive.

If you would rather donate cold, hard cash (which is greatly appreciated and will go straight towards the cause), you can do so online. To kick off the donations, Glenn Armentor Law  Corporation has already dropped $5,000.00 into the fund! If you are like me, you don't have $5,000.00, and that's okay because just $1 can provide up to four meals. Each of these four meals is a very important meal: a recent study showed that having reliable access to a sufficient amount of food could affect learning as early as kindergarten.

Here's the bottom line: there are kids in Acadiana who do not have enough food to remain healthy, either mentally and/or physically. You can help and we, along with Glenn Armentor, are begging you to do so.
