My bar cart is loaded up with my favorite liquor and my mini-fridge is loaded down with my favorite beer. I will admit, after a few weekends of pure boredom I decided it was in my best interest to load up on booze to get through the lonely weekends. I guess I am part of the problem.

CBS New York reported that health officials are concerned that many Americans are hoarding alcohol to be able to deal with their anxiety during the pandemic. It was no surprise when the alcohol industry reported above-average sales.

I have seen other peoples carts when I'm checking out of Kroger, I am not the only one who has several bottles of liquor in my cart.

Dr. Jeffrey Reynolds of the Family & Children’s Association told CBS New York “It would be ironic if we minimized transmission of coronavirus and forced everybody to self-isolate, and the people who are most vulnerable end up dying of overdoses or suicides,”. Could our self-medication cause more of us to die? Experts think so.
