Human Remains Found in Suitcases in Florida and Texas, Investigators Say
There are now two ongoing investigations looking into human remains discovered in luggage in two different states. Both, however, were essentially out in plain sight with no "discernible effort" made to hide the suitcase.
First, last Thursday, July 20th, human remains were found in Texas by state police after a 911 call reporting a suspicious package.
The Bexar County Sheriff's Office in Texas says that the duffle bag was reported by people who were outside feeding animals early that morning. They have confirmed that there were "partial human remains" discovered and the owners of the property are cooperating at this time.
A day later, on Friday, July 21st, Flordia Delray Beach Police received a 911 call reporting a suspicious item in the intracostal waterway. The officers dispatched discovered a suitcase containing human remains along with two other suitcases also containing human remains. It is currently believed to be the remains of a "white or Hispanic middle-aged woman with brown hair". According to WAFB, the victim was wearing a "floral tank top with a black undershirt and black, midthigh shorts". There are no other details at this time as this is an ongoing investigation.
Photos of the floral top have been posted here in hopes that it reaches someone who recognizes the pattern.
While there are similarities in these two investigators it has not been confirmed whether or not they are connected in some way. More information may become available as the investigations continue.
