IRS Set to Roll Out More Stimulus Checks After Delays Reported
Haven't received the latest stimulus check yet? Well, there's some promising news to share with you today.
The IRS says that they are aware of some folks not getting the $600, which is part of the second round of stimulus checks, in their accounts and they are now working on the issue.
The Federal Government started to distribute stimulus checks in bank accounts in late December, however, many Americans have not seen the financial assistance arrive in their accounts.
The agency reportedly worked all weekend on the delay and they say those eligible for the stimulus check should soon see the money in their bank account or in the mailbox.
For those of you who do not have a bank account set up with IRS, you will be getting a stimulus check or debit card in the mail.
The IRS says if you are eligible for a stimulus check and have not received it, you DO NOT need to do anything. The agency says that they are aware of your situation.
Now, for those using the IRS website to check on the status of the check, the "Get My Payment" tool may not be giving out accurate information as they work through the latest updates.
