Shreveport Fire Crews Fight Early Morning House Fire
Shreveport Fire Department fire crews were dispatched at 1:42AM Wednesday (7/19/23) morning to the 3100 block of Woodford Street to a report of a single-story wood framed residence on fire.
The first arriving SFD fire unit on scene reported the structure to have heavy smoke coming from the attic. Firefighters were able to enter the front door of the residence, where they located and extinguished the fire.
It took the efforts of 21 firefighters—7 fire units, only minutes to bring this blaze under control. This structure was vacant. This fire cause is still under investigation.
