(Baton Rouge, Louisiana) - The Empire State Building was lit up in Purple and Gold after the LSU Tiger Baseball team won the NCAA Men's National Championship last weekend.

The Tigers swept Coastal Carolina in the World Series, and the Tigers have brought back another trophy from Omaha.

To honor their achievement, the iconic structure in New York was lit with the team's colors. Now, this isn't the first time the structure has done this.

The Empire State Building often honors championship teams by lighting up the building with the team's colors, but it was extraordinary to see the New York structure lit in purple and gold.

LSU has returned to Baton Rouge after capturing the national championship, and fans are invited to attend a celebration this Wednesday at Alex Box Stadium.
