First Ever Sunset Kidz Wagon Parade & Family Fun Day
Sunset Mardi Gras Association is excited to announce the first-ever Sunset Kidz Wagon Parade and Free Family Fun Day. Mardi Gras is the biggest celebration in Louisiana and is deeply woven into the heritage of the people here.
The Sunset Kidz Wagon Parade and Free Family Fun Day will take place Sunday, February 5, 2023, at the Sunset Community Center, 108 Leo Richard Lane. There will be awards for the best-themed wagon.
The parade begins at 1 p.m. (participants should arrive at noon). Parking will be available on Marie St. Streets in the area will be closed prior to the parade.
The parade route will begin at the Sunset Community Center, take a right on Napoleon Ave., turn around and head back on Napoleon just before Landry St., turn left on Boudreaux St., right on Sibille St and end at the Community Center.
Music and entertainment will follow behind the Sunset Community Center from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
