For those who frequent McDonald's they will tell you that the Coke at the popular restaurant seems to taste better there than anywhere else.

For years many have come up with their theory as to why soda tastes better at McDonald's and many of those theories are just inaccurate.

One theory that I've heard for years is that the amount of salt in the food at McDonald's makes the Coke taste better. Well, that is not so.

So what could it be that makes the Coke at McDonald's taste better than anywhere else, and no they are not adding more syrup to the mix?

Well, according to the Food Chain, McDonald's stores the Coke syrup in stainless steel containers. This better preserves the syrup than the methods used by their competitors. “

McDonald's adds,  “We also keep our fountain beverage system cold so your drink can always be at the peak of refreshing. There’s also our straw – it’s slightly wider than a typical straw, so all that Coke taste can hit all your taste buds,”

The popular fast food restaurant also reports that they have invested a lot of money in their filtration system to give their sodas the best possible taste.

So, the next time you're enjoying a cold drink from McDonald's you now know why it may taste better than some other places.

It sounds like the company has done its research and has figured out how to give its customers the best-tasting sodas.
