Member of KATC Weather Team Announces Departure From Station
There's another move coming from inside the broadcast circle in Acadiana and this time it is from within the Weather Center.
Another member of the KATC TV-3 team is on the move and the announcement came via social media on Monday, April 1, 2024.
Meteorologist Bradley Benoit has announced that he is leaving KATC for a new opportunity in his career, and we wish him nothing but the best.
Like so many who move to Lafayette, when it's time to pack up and move on, it's difficult to do because Acadiana does become home.
Benoit tells us, "In regard to my next move: It’s honestly just a great opportunity for me to advance my career. Hurricanes are kind of my passion and I’m happy to share that I’ll still be forecasting in a tropical/active weather market."
He would go on to comment on those who he has worked with and had this to say about Rob and Daniel, "I have to thank KATC and Rob Perillo for taking a chance on me fresh out of college and rewarding me with so many valuable opportunities and experiences (shoutout Daniel, Dave and mentors). I’ll be forever grateful."
Again, we wish our friend Bradley Benoit nothing but the best and hope to see him around Acadiana again during festivals and Mardi Gras.
Here's Bradley's official announcement on his departure from KATC, via his social media page.
