Some shocking news came out this week of an NFL owner being found by police after an apparent drug overdose.

Multiple media outlets are reporting that Indianapolis Colts owner and CEO Jim Irsay was found by police in early December in his own house on the bathroom floor.

Someone alerted police and when they arrived, they reportedly found the NFL owner unresponsive and turning blue while on the floor.

While in bed police administered Narcan to the fallen billionaire and he responded slightly.

In January, the Colts organization announced that Irsay was hospitalized and that he was being treated for a respiratory illness. The organization did tell a local television station the following:

"Mr. Irsay continues to recover from his respiratory illness. We will have no further comment on his personal health, and we continue to ask that Jim and his family’s privacy be respected."

If you follow the NFL or sports news, you may be aware that this isn't the first time Irsay has had an issue with drugs.

In 2014, the NFL owner was pulled over by police for driving erratically and when police further investigated the stop, they found prescription drugs and lots of cash on Irsay. A toxicology report would later reveal that Irsay had oxycodone, hydrocodone, and a drug used to treat anxiety in his system.

Irsay later accused police of targeting him because he is white and rich.

The Colts owner has openly admitted his battles with substance abuse and has been very vocal when it comes to addressing mental health.

We hope that he gets the help he may need as he continues to face and address the challenges in his life.
