With 199 haunted locations in the state, Louisiana ranks as the second-most haunted state in America, according to research from DuelBits.
According to this latest report, there are 4.33 haunted locations per 100,000 Louisiana residents, making a ghost sighting highly likely.

Wyoming topped the list with 5.11 haunted locations per 100,000 people. That state only has 30 haunted locations, though
The only state with more haunted locations is Florida, with an impressive 207 spooky spots.
Louisiana’s Haunted Hotspots
While most associate New Orleans with being a haunted hotspot, ghostly sightings are frequent in other cities like Shreveport and the supernatural hotspot we all know, St. Francisville.

The Most Haunted Places in Louisiana
Shreveport is home to alleged haunted locations such as Oakland Cemetery, the Logan Mansion, and Greenwood Cemetery, all known for sightings of ghosts and ghouls.
And, of course, St. Francisville's Myrtles Plantation is a well-known haunted location where locals and tourists alike love to visit with hopes of coming across the supernatural.
