Mystery Animals Caught on Video in Carencro, Louisiana — Could It Be the Chupacabra??

CARENCRO, La. (KMDL-FM) - I love a good mystery. And one is unfolding on social media right now after someone in Carencro posted a video of some curious animals roaming through a yard.

Early speculation is that those mysterious animals could be the Chupacabra!

What is the Chupacabra?

The Chupacabra means "goat-sucker" in Spanish. They're a cryptid or legendary creature in Latin American folklore.

These legendary creatures originated in Puerto Rico in the late 1980s and early 1990s and have since spread throughout the Americas and beyond.

I'm not sure what these dudes really look like since I've never seen one, and some of y'all think they don't exist. But, here's one rendering:

Now, let's get to the video posted by Rudy Begnaud. The time stamp, as you can see, is from shortly after 12:30 am on May 5, 2025.

And, as you'll see, two small four-legged animals will slowly jog across the screen and through a spacious yard.

Could It Indeed Be the Chupacabra? If Not, What Animals Are They?

Some of the comments suggest it indeed could be Chupacabra.

Then others (who clearly have less vivid imaginations but reside somewhere on planet Earth) are speculating these could be young coyotes.
