Louisiana Rougarou

The Louisiana Rougarou is a creature rooted in Cajun folklore, particularly in the swamps and bayous of southern Louisiana.

The Rougarou is often described as a werewolf-like creature, with a mix of human and wolf features.

The name "Rougarou" comes from the French term "loup-garou," where "loup" means wolf and "garou" means a man who can transform into a wolf.

The Rougarou is said to haunt the swamps and sugarcane fields, preying on those who have sinned or broken certain rules, such as failing to observe Lent.

In some stories, the Rougarou is a person cursed to roam the area for 101 days, after which the curse is passed to another person if the Rougarou can draw blood from them.

Now, let's talk about this insane video...

I don't know what part of the world this video is coming from, but I wish I knew so I can make certain I never go there...ever.

Watch as this young creature, what could be a Rougarou-looking creature walks around and does stuff while being tied to a string.

What is going on here?!?

At first, I thought it was a monkey that this guy glued some long hair to. However, the eyes don't really look like a monkey, and the hands sure don't look like lil' monkey hands.

Well, at least not any monkey I've ever seen.

I don't think I'll ever sleep again...
