Today Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal issued a proclamation calling for a statewide moment of silence tomorrow (Dec. 21) at 9:30 A.M. in memory of the victims who lost their lives a week ago in the Sandy Hook tragedy.

26 victims, including 20 children lost their lives in the Newtown, Connecticut school shooting, and according to KATC the moment of silence was requested by Connecticut governor Daniel Malloy.

who has invited all states to stand with the citizens of Connecticut in mourning for the victims of this tragedy. The moment of silence will occur at 9:30AM in each state's respective time zone. Governor Malloy also asked that places of worship and government buildings, which have the ability, to ring bells 26 times during that moment of silence.

We will observe the moment of silence tomorrow morning at 9:30 A.M. on Hot 107.9 and we hope that you can join us and do the same in memory of those innocent victims.
