Before the Biebs ever teamed up with Diplo or sang 'Baby', the pop superstar was covering other artists the old fashioned way, with only an acoustic guitar and his angelic little voice.

With the media putting so much focus on who Justin Bieber is dating, what color he's dying his hair, or what celeb he is or isn't feuding with, it's easy to forget why he became famous in the first place. He's really flipping talented, that's why, and you probably forgot all about it because you were too busy trying to Google pictures of his naked bod. I mean, yeah, I was definitely Googling too, but I was also listening to his old school acoustic covers while I sat at my computer at work, because they are legitimately impressive.

Justin has more talent in a strand of his perfectly quaffed hair than I'll ever have in my entire life. Is it fair? No way, I'm beyond jealous that my 28-year-old self will never make it as big as he has, but I also respect and appreciate his talent and artistic capabilities. Dudes got skills, you have to recognize!

So, in honor of JB's talent, I decided to share my top 5 favorite Bieber acoustic covers. Get ready to fall in love with the baby Biebs all over again.

    "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain

Way back in 2007 (I know it doesn't seem like that was that long ago), JB posted his cover of Edwin McCain's love ballad "I'll Be" and it might be the most precious thing I've ever seen.

He's jamming out on the guitar and his high baby voice sounds like angel kisses on my ears. I mean, come on, how can you not love little Biebs?

    "Fallin" by Alicia Keys

Kid's got soul. If you listen to this cover and don't immediately say to yourself "yep, this kid has talent" then you might need to clean out your years.

I'm pretty sure JB was the king of saying "swag" a couple of years ago, but after watching this video I realize that he earned all of those "swags" he threw around. This little Justin performance is the definition of swag and he was only 13 years old!

    "You Smile I Smile"

JB singing his own song still counts as a cover right? It's a more stripped down version of his music, so I'm going to count it.

Ok, don't judge, but this might be my favorite Justin Bieber song of all time. It's just so darn cute! So, of course I had to have it on my list of favorite acoustic covers. There's just something about Justin's little voice and the guitar that makes me smile, which I'm guessing is the point of the song, hence the title "You Smile I Smile".

    "Sorry"

Ok, I fan-girled real hard when I saw this.

This acoustic version of "Sorry" came out at the perfect time. People were on an "I hate Bieber" kick and he was trying to prove that he really was a good dude. And, honestly, the Biebs could pee in a mop bucket once a month for the rest of his life and I would probably forgive him as soon as I re-watched this video.

"Cry Me A River" by Justin Timberlake

JB singing JT! Again, this is adorable. He has the cutest little voice as as kid, and knew exactly how to show it off.

Oh, and don't get me started with his guitar skills. Did you know he plays four instruments? Yeah, guitar piano, drums and the trumpet. I told you the kid was talented!
