Justin Timberlake Gives Another Hip-Hop History Lesson
Maybe this is a transition from movies back to music.
Though he has pop roots, Justin Timberlake knows his rap, too. The ‘In Time‘ star stopped by ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ to promote his new movie and show off both his hip-hop and humor prowess.
Needing no introduction, Timberlake and Fallon launched into their third edition of ‘The History of Rap.’ The Roots provided the background beats for their medley of hip-hop hits — a whopping 18 tracks wrapped into one! The marathon song included hits by Run-DMC, DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince (you know, some guy named Will Smith), Jay-Z, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Sir Mix-A-Lot and more.
Timberlake previously showed off his rap chops in a video for FreeSol‘s ‘Role Model‘ video and snagged two Emmys for his hilarious ‘Saturday Night Live’ songs with the Lonely Island. If he keeps up his charming, hilarious talk show appearances, we wouldn’t be surprised if he has more on the way.
