What would a Kid Cudi album inspired by Dr. Dre sound like? We’ll find out soon, because Cudi revealed early this morning via Twitter that his next solo record will be called ‘Indicud’ and is partially influenced by Dre.

‘The Chronic 2001′ was Dr. Dre’s sequel to his groundbreaking 1992 debut ‘The Chronic.’ All 20-plus tracks had featured artists, so perhaps ‘Indicud’ will be a guest-heavy record as well. Cudi hasn’t announced when the album will drop, but in a later tweet he called it “My best work,” indicating that the album might already be done, or at least partially completed.

Kid Cudi’s last release was ‘WZRD,’ his psychedelic rock collaboration with Dot da Genius. His most recent solo effort was 2010′s ‘Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager,’ which spawned the hits ‘Erase Me’ and ‘Mr. Rager.’ Cudi is also scheduled to contribute to ‘Cruel Summer,’ Kanye West‘s GOOD Music label collection which is almost finished.
