KK’s Cafe Is Officially Open In Carencro
After weeks of anticipation, a popular Acadiana restaurant has officially opened the doors to its newest location.
KK’s Cafe is now open for business in Carencro, bringing its popular breakfast, lunch, dinner and homemade desserts to a new part of Lafayette Parish.
While there had been reports of abbreviated hours and soft openings as the restaurant prepared its staff, we’ve confirmed that the Carencro location is now operating with regular hours.
The expansion was first announced earlier this summer, when owners Lee and Wendy Oubre revealed plans to bring the Youngsville favorite to the former Pizza Amore location at 3730 NE Evangeline Thruway.
KK’s Cafe Brings A Youngsville Favorite To Carencro
KK’s has developed a loyal following at its original Youngsville location, where the family-owned restaurant is known for made-from-scratch comfort food, breakfast favorites and an impressive selection of homemade desserts.

The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a menu that includes burgers, sandwiches, seafood, salads and other homestyle favorites. KK’s has also become particularly well known for its homemade cheesecakes.

Now, customers living in Carencro, north Lafayette and surrounding communities have a much shorter drive to get their KK’s fix.
KK’s Cafe Carencro Hours And Location
The new KK’s Cafe is located at 3730 NE Evangeline Thruway in Carencro, inside the former Pizza Amore location near Interstate 49. The address and expansion into the former Pizza Amore space were previously confirmed when the project was announced.
The Carencro location’s regular hours are:
Tuesday through Saturday: 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Sunday: 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Monday: Closed
That means customers can stop in for breakfast, come back for lunch or dinner, and, of course, save some room for dessert.

Carencro Continues To Add New Restaurants And Businesses
Carencro Mayor Charlotte Clavier said city leaders were excited when they learned KK’s had chosen Carencro for its first expansion outside of Youngsville, calling the restaurant another welcome addition to the community’s growing food scene.

The opening also adds to the continued commercial growth along the Evangeline Thruway and I-49 corridor.
KK’s is located roughly a mile from the recently opened Walk-On’s, making it another new dining option for an area that continues to attract development.

For KK’s, however, this is a major milestone. The Carencro restaurant is the family-owned business’s first location outside its original Youngsville home.
As with any brand-new restaurant location, customers may want to give the team a little grace as employees settle into regular operations. Early chatter across local foodie groups, though, suggests plenty of Acadiana residents have already made their way through the doors.

And after weeks of asking when KK’s would finally be open in Carencro, we now have the answer: It’s officially time to eat.
