KK’s Cafe Gives Exciting Update As Carencro Location Nears Opening Day
For anyone eagerly waiting to enjoy a plate from KK's Cafe without making the drive to their original location, the wait appears to be getting much shorter.
The beloved Acadiana restaurant has shared another encouraging update on its long-awaited Carencro location, and all signs point to opening day getting closer.
Owners Share Personal Update With Hungry Fans
In a heartfelt message posted to Facebook, owners Lee and Wendy Oubre thanked everyone for their patience while offering a glimpse at what is happening behind the scenes.
Rather than rushing to open the doors, the couple says their current focus is making sure every member of the new team is fully trained before welcoming customers.
According to the owners, they're committed to delivering the same quality food and friendly customer service that has helped make KK's Cafe a favorite across Acadiana.
They told fans that while the restaurant is "coming soon," they want to ensure the Carencro location lives up to the standards guests have come to expect.
A New Sign Signals Big Progress
Perhaps the most noticeable sign of progress is the literal sign itself.
The familiar KK's Cafe logo has officially been installed on the building, replacing the former Pizza Amore signage and giving passing drivers their first real look at the restaurant's new identity.
For many residents, seeing the new sign go up makes the opening feel much more real.
It's another visible milestone that preparations are entering the final stretch.
A Welcome Addition For North Acadiana
Once it opens, the Carencro restaurant won't just serve local residents.
The new location is expected to be convenient for people throughout North Lafayette, Scott, Breaux Bridge, Cecilia, Opelousas and other nearby communities who have been looking forward to having one of Acadiana's favorite restaurants a little closer to home.
While an official opening date has not yet been announced, the latest update makes it clear that the finish line is in sight.

In its Facebook post, KK's Cafe shared the following message:
"Carencro, we're on the way! Lee and Wendy have a special update on the new Carencro location, and you won't want to miss it! Take a listen to hear what's coming, and get ready for even more of your KK's favorites closer to home. Stay tuned... Carencro, we're almost there!"
For now, hungry customers will have to wait just a little longer, but with staff training underway and the new sign now proudly displayed, it's safe to say Carencro can almost taste what's coming.
