Well, wouldn't you believe it, Lady Gaga has stirred up controversy. (sarcasm) This time it stems from the video from her latest single 'Judas.'  In the video, Gaga is mounted on the back of a motorcycle driven by a man dressed loosely like Jesus Christ, fully equipped with corn-rows & blingy thorns, as he leads his biker gang of apostles down the freeway in a modern day Jerusalem. The video features Gaga in the role of Mary Magdalene as she leads all apostles in a bar-room dance routine. One of my "wow" moments came as Gaga painted Judas' lips with a lipstick-gun combo just before the famed "Judas Kiss."

Amidst all the talk of controversy Gaga has said a few things that might help clear things up. Let's remember that Gaga has stood by the fact that she is indeed a very "devoted Catholic." She goes on to say

The only controversial thing about this video is that I'm wearing Christian Lacroix and Chanel in the same frame,

'Judas' is about me going back to an ex-boyfriend and still being in love with someone that has betrayed me,

This video's not meant to be an attack on religion, it's not meant to be an attack on anyone's beliefs, I respect and love everybody's beliefs, my fans know that about me. I consider myself a strong and devoted catholic and a religious and spiritual person, who's obsessed with religious art. I'm obsessed with it.

Hopefully that clears things up. Gaga's sophomore effort "Born This Way" hits stores May 23. Until then, scope out the video for 'Judas' and tell us what YOU think.
