There have been 70,151 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. There are over 1,888 more reported cases since yesterday. Just over 10 percent of all tests today are positive, a benchmark the feds use to track problem areas.

95% of the cases reported to the state today were community spread.

39% of the cases reported today are of individuals aged 29 and under.

Numbers show that there are 1,022 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized - 3 fewer than were reported yesterday.

105 patients are on ventilators across the state - 4 fewer than were reported yesterday.

The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 increased by 20 to 3,231.

As of today, 46,334 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered. That's 3,308 more recovered patients since last week.

The total number of coronavirus cases that have been in the Acadiana region is 6,809 with 260 total deaths reported.

Lafayette Parish: 3,127 total cases, 50 total deaths
