Acadiana, you did it again: you've shown what you are really made of.

Earlier this week, we asked you to help out neighbors to our west who were devastated by Hurricane Laura, and you really came through.

Today will be the last day this week that Covenant United Methodist Church will be accepting donations. Every day this week, the truck that was supplied by Service Chevrolet was full because YOUR hearts are overflowing. The love, compassion, and empathy you've shown this week reaffirm my belief that Acadiana has some of the most generous people on this planet.

Your donations were put directly into the hands of those who needed the supplies the most, giving people the items they need to help them recover. You gave them cleaning supplies and water and snacks, and you also gave them hope. You should be proud.

Thank you, Acadiana.
