Mother Nature has placed almost all of Louisiana in her cosmic oven during these last few days of spring. I guess Dear Ol' Ma Nature saw what happened at the end of the recent legislative session and figured we were "half-baked" and needed to be returned to the oven for some extra days.

All kidding aside, the next few days are going to be very dangerous around Louisiana. The National Weather Service has posted heat advisories from Texas to Alabama and Florida. And if you didn't do well in geography in school, Louisiana is in the middle of that swath of swelter.
