Louisiana Outreach Events Scheduled To Help Residents Finish Homeowners Flood Damage Survey
Six outreach events will be held throughout Louisiana to assist flood victims with the homeowners flood damage survey.
According to WDSU, the six sessions will be held across Louisiana starting on May 16th in Hammond, Gonzales on May 17th, Shreveport on May 18th, Baton Rouge on May 23rd, Youngsville on May 24th and Denham Springs on May 25th.
These outreach sessions have been set up to help any Louisiana homeowners who experienced damage from last years flood take the first step in the process of requesting aid from the state by filling out the homeowners flood damage survey. Even if you don't think the damage to your house is significant enough to qualify for aid, you should still fill out a survey. WDSU reports that more people may qualify if "Congress sends additional recovery money to Louisiana" on top of the current $1.3 billion program.
If you cannot make it to any of the six outreach events you can also fill out the homeowners flood damage survey online or by phone. For more information on the survey and recovery assistance visit the Restore Louisiana Task Force website.
