Louisiana State Police Issue Scam Warning To Flood Victims

The Louisiana State Police have a warning for everyone affected by the flood and that will be working with FEMA officials in the upcoming days.

State Police remind you that, "FEMA representatives NEVER ask for money from those affected by the flood. Don't be a victim twice."

If anyone tells you that they are working for FEMA, but need money from you, do not give it to them and contact police immediately.

Unfortunately, during times like this people will use your situation to their advantage. Always ask for official identification and never give personal information to anyone not with an official agency.
