The LSU Tigers, following their sixth-consecutive win over the weekend, have moved up to number two in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll, which was released on Sunday.

LSU, who was at number five last week, moved up three spots, following their 42-28 SEC victory over the Florida Gators last Saturday.

The Tigers, who are now 6-0 on the season, return to action on Saturday, when they travel to Starkville, Mississippi to take on the Mississippi St. Bulldogs in an SEC affair.

Alabama remains the top team in the nation this week, followed by LSU and Clemson, who fell one spot to number three.

Ohio St. and Oklahoma round out the top five.

Wisconsin, Penn St., Notre Dame, Florida, and Georgia are ranked 6-10, respectively.

Sun Belt Conference member Appalachian St., who is 5-0 on the season, debuts in the poll this week at number 24.
