LSU Tigers Marching Band Surprises Washington D.C. Mardi Gras Revelers [Video]
Washington Mardi Gras festivities were held this past Thursday through Saturday in our nation's capital. The annual event was hosted by the Mystick Krewe of Louisianians and was attended by an estimated 5,000 to 6,000 people.
There were parties held each evening into the wee hours of the night. Those festivities were attended by Louisiana state lawmakers, city and parish officials, statewide officeholders, as well as businessmen, lobbyists and other partygoers.
There is always a surprise or two for Washington Mardi Gras and probably the highlight this year was an appearance by the LSU Tigers Marching Band, better known as The Golden Band from Tigerland.
Check out the video, courtesy of our friend Janie Baudoin Varisco. Her husband plays drums for Lafayette's Bayou Boys, one of the bands who played the parties.
It sure looks like the revelers forgot about all the political turmoil in our country right now and were just enjoying the moment.
