If you've ever attended a music festival in New Orleans then, to quote a trendy insurance commercial, "you've seen a thing or two". Saturday night at the Buku Festival many festival goers saw something they won't soon forget. A man scaled a tall chain link fence and then jumped into the Mississippi River.

The New Orleans Fire Department responded to the scene and began the search. After about 10 minutes of hearing only the man's voice, rescuers located the man clinging to a piling of a wharf. The man was recovered from the river and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

The Buku Music + Arts Project as it is officially known is held near the grounds of Mardi Gras World. The festival ran this past weekend, March 22nd and 23rd and featured a wide range of musical performers and guests.
