Man Shot to Death at Florida Movie Theater During ‘Lone Survivor’ Screening
In horrifying news, a couple in a Florida movie theatre were shot (one of them fatally) for texting during a matinee of 'Lone Survivor.'
"The victim was on his cell phone. He was texting. We believe he was making some kind of noise. This noise led to an altercation between the suspect and the victim," explained Sheriff Chris Nocco of the incident.
The news was reported by FOX 13 in Tampa Bay, who said that the shooter was Curtis Reeves, a 71-year-old man who was at the movies with his wife. Even worse? Reeves is a former Tampa police officer.
Reeves and his wife reportedly asked the couple in front of them to stop texting, and a fight about the request led to Reeve pulling out his handgun and shooting the texters.
Both victims were rushed to the hospital, where the man later died. Reeves was held at the movie theatre until police arrived on the scene.
