Mayor Cantrell Says Masks Mandatory In NOLA – Punishable Up To $500 Fine
In a press conference, Mayor LaToya Cantrell of New Orleans announced that if you are caught without a mask in the city, you could be fined up to $500. The announcement comes after large, mask-less crowds were seen in the French Quarter recently.

The move by Mayor Cantrell empowers New Orleans police to issue citations to those not adhering to coronavirus prevention mandates.
Citations can be up to $500 and if offenders can not afford to pay, they can opt to pick up trash in lieu of paying the fine.

For the first time this weekend, a limited amount of fans will be allowed to attend the Saints game in the Superdome.
Let's hope that all goes smoothly this weekend as New Orleans will be buzzing at its highest level since the COVID-19 shutdown.
