New Orleans Saints receiver Michael Thomas took a jab at Mike Mayock, the general manager of the Oakland Raiders, on social media, recently.

On Thursday, in the midst of all the drama surrounding receiver Antonio Brown and the Raiders, Thomas reminded everyone that Mayock, a former draft analyst for the NFL Network, ranked numerous receivers ahead of him during the 2016 NFL Draft.

Well now!

The tweet was sent out just after news broke of an altercation between Brown and Mayock.

The receivers that Mayock ranked ahead of Thomas in 2016 were Laquon Treadwell, Corey Coleman, Will Fuller, and Josh Doctson, while ranking Sterling Shepard even with him.

Now, to be fair to Mayock, most draft experts had the same guys ranked ahead of Thomas, and most NFL teams thought the same thing, as those five guys were selected ahead of Thomas, who the Saints took with the 47th-overall pick.

Obviously, Thomas turned out to be the best receiver in the draft.

Over his first three seasons in the league, Thomas has accumulated 321 catches for 3,787 yards and 23 touchdowns.

In 2018, the 26-year old Thomas caught 125 passes for 1,405 yards and 9 touchdowns.

For his performance, the Saints awarded Thomas with the richest deal ever given to a receiver, signing him to a 5-year, $100-million extension in late July, with $61 million guaranteed.
