Mike Myers Signs On for ‘Austin Powers 4′
Aside from voiceover work in the ‘Shrek’ franchise, the last time Mike Myers headlined on the big screen was in 2008′s disastrous box-office and critical flop, ‘The Love Guru.’
Now, the ‘Saturday Night Live’ alum is going back to the tried and true. He’s signed on to reprise the randy, dental-hygienically-challenged British spy Austin Powers in a fourth installment of the movie series.
The series, which spoofs spy flicks of the 1960s, includes 1997′s ‘Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery,’ 1999′s ‘Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me,’ and 2002′s ‘Austin Powers in Goldmember.’ All three films have been commercial successes, taking in a total of $676 million worldwide.
No director or projected release date for the new film have been announced.
