Miley Cyrus Says Twerking Is Dead, Moves On To The ‘Nae Nae’ [VIDEO]
Miley Cyrus has declared twerking dead and moved on to the 'Nae Nae' as her dance of choice.
During an interview with the Australian talk show "Sunrise," Cyrus says that the dance that helped her make headlines is now a thing of the past. Miley demonstrated WeAreToonz' 'Nae Nae' dance for the talk show hosts—waiving her hand from side to side and shuffling her feet.
Just like twerking, Miley says she learned about the dance from her backup dancers, the L.A. Bakers.
Not to rain on Miley's parade, but the 'Nae Nae' was hot over the spring and summer, and has since been eclipsed in popularity by Bobby Shmurda's 'Shmoney Dance'—made popular by the video for his single 'Hot Boy.' It is Australia, so it's understandable that they're a little behind pop culture in the states.
Nevertheless, she is done with twerking—which is actually great news for everyone.
