Mr. Chimetime Says Louisiana Flavor Already Hitting Harder in Acadiana
From Disappointment in New Orleans to a Full Belly in Acadiana
Just days after expressing disappointment in New Orleans’ food scene, viral food vlogger Mr. Chimetime has officially made his way to the 337, and if his latest posts are any indication, the experience has been night and day.
His first stop? Breaux Bridge. And right out of the gate, he let folks know the vibe (and the flavor) was different.
“Food looks TOTALLY different down here in the 337… GAS ASF,” he wrote in a Facebook post alongside a picture of a plate lunch that looked straight out of someone’s mawmaw’s kitchen.
Boudin Missions and Nearly Tapping Out
The next updates from Chimetime only solidified that Acadiana was already off to a strong start.
One post had him on the hunt for the best boudin in the region.
And after hitting up three different spots between Breaux Bridge, New Iberia, and Lafayette, he had this to say:
“3 spots down and the food got me in a DDT headlock… I’m trying not to TAP TF OUT.”
For a guy known for being brutally honest (and sometimes controversial) in his reviews, that doesn’t sound like someone with anything negative to report.
The Comment Section Debate Rages On
Unsurprisingly, the internet had thoughts.
Fans of New Orleans cuisine flooded the comments to say he “just didn’t try the right places,” while others claimed he was hating on popular spots for clout. But longtime Louisiana food lovers, especially from the Acadiana area, weren’t shocked at all.
In fact, many argued this proves what they’ve been saying all along: the best Louisiana food doesn’t come from high-end restaurants or trendy tourist traps. It comes from back roads, lunch lines, gas stations, and hole-in-the-wall kitchens in towns like Breaux Bridge, New Iberia, and Lafayette.
What’s Next on the Tour?
So far, Mr. Chimetime hasn’t named the restaurants he’s visited, but with the reaction he's giving, locals are buzzing with guesses. Wherever he’s eating, it’s clear he’s finally found the Louisiana flavor he was looking for.
With no video reviews posted yet, fans are eagerly waiting to see where he went and what he really thought. But if his captions are any preview, Acadiana might’ve just served him his favorite meals in the state so far.
Will he keep that same energy when the videos drop? We’ll see. But one thing’s for sure: the 337 is not letting him leave hungry.
