New Orleans is ready for Zion Williamson.

This was the reaction of New Orleans Pelicans fans Thursday night when it was announced that Zion Williamson was heading to the Cresent City.

A gathering was held at Fulton Ave. in New Orleans during the NBA Draft and when it was announced that the Pelicans selected Williamson with the first pick in the 2019 draft, New Orleans erupted.

Does this make New Orleans a "basketball market" now? It remains to be seen, but I hope the region gets behind the Pelicans because they have made some VERY promising moves.
