Parkview Baptist School released a statement today in relation to an offensive social media post made by one of their students. The offensive post was in reference to Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which was celebrated across the country this week.

The statement came from Dr. Don Mayes, the Superintendent of Parkview Baptist School. In the release, he notes that disciplinary action was taken immediately although no further specifics were provided.

The post that is drawing public attention was made using a filter that celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. day. The caption that went along with the photo is what drew so much attention to the school.
